Baler is host to spectacular geographic formations and is situated on a vast plain at the mouth of Baler Bay, a contiguous segment of the Philippine Sea. Marinduque 2010

PLACE: Marinduque
WHERE:  Marinduque, Philippines - Region IV-B (MIMAROPA)

DATE OF VISIT: April 8-11, 2010

"Marinduque the heart of the Philippines".

The island province of Marinduque is part of the MIMAROPA Region (Region IV-B) of the Philippines situated some 11 miles (18 kilometers) from the capital Manila. It lies in the northern portion of the Sibuyan Sea, bounded by Quezon Province in the north and east, by Mindoro Island and Batangas Province in west and Romblon Province to the south.
Marinduque is associated with the Moriones Festival, the trademark revelry and tourist magnet of the island. For some, Marinduque is also a reminder of a grim past when mining was an important industry in the island – an industry which took a toll on its environment and locals. But there is more to Marinduque than just Moriones and mining. It is a treasure trove of suprising and awesome finds.

I know I'm lucky to have friends that came from difference provinces here in the Philippines. Hehehe.. :) We visited Marinduque last April 2010, and our host is .. Mr. Kenneth Marquez (from the provinces of Marinduque). We are treated like king and queen in this wonderful island. Thank you Marquez Family for adopting us for a weekend :)

Now lets spot how gorgeous Marinduque is... :)

Anilao Batangas 2010

PLACE: Raymundo Resort - Anilao
WHERE: Anilao Mabini, Batangas, Philippines - REGION IV A (Calabarzon)

DATE OF VISIT: March 20-21, 2010

Anilao Proper and Anilao East are two barangays in the municipality of Mabini, Batangas, the Philippines. They are located south of Manila on the large island of Luzon, at the southern end of the Calumpang Peninisula facing Maribacan Island.

Anilao is popular with divers and snorkelers. The waters surrounding the area are teeming with marine life, plenty of corals and amazing diversity of fishes.

Anilao is a very good place for our team to have our group outing for the year 2010. We rent the "Raymundo Resort" in Anilao. The resort is not open to public but fortunately the owner of this resort is the auntie of our very good friend Carol Magboo.

It's good to see how beautiful Anilao is... :)
